Builds to maximize farming for event items
Nice W/ Raptor farm, 25 kills in less than a minute Post if you have anything better/easier/faster/more diverse to class, other ideas....

Equip weapon. Step into Sunqua Vale. Kill stuff.

My perma-sin raptor farming build isn't quite that fast, but it kills a few more enemies (including the boss). Of course, if farming Wintersday items is the only goal, NM farming would appear to be the best bet for builds that are not reliant on the speed of the enemy's attacks. For a completely unorthodox alternative, solo MM farming can be fun as well. To do this I usually bring SS along to kill the first few enemies and then let the minions do the rest of the work (the balance of my skills are usually designed to keep the minions and myself alive). Since done in NM against low level enemies, most mistakes won't result in a death. And, if you farm in an area that also has good Wintersday collectibles, it will increase the amount of rewards reaped. While my most common solo MM location is just outside Nolani, there are lots of other spots on all 3 continents that have good locations for such a build. As for speed, it doesn't quite compare to the 1 min Raptor run you mentioned above, but on the other hand it is easy and kind of relaxing.

I have been doing the Strength of Snow quest as a holiday collectible farm. It is very simple, and I already have over a stack of cc shards from maybe 15 runs (each run takes 7-10 mins). All you really do is solo run to the end of the quest, then alt tab out of GW, do some web browing or whatever, and when you click back, the good guys killed all the baddies. Pick up 10 shards or so, open the chest for your .001% chance at a Mini Polar Bear (along with 5 other wintersday items), map, get a 1k exp and 5 cc shard reward, rinse and repeat.... Its a really easy afk farm, and pretty profitable too from the consumables standpoint.... I was talking to an alliance member in chat last night, he said he has done 700+ runs, no mini yet, but over 30 stacks of cc shards, so all in all a good fun farm, I can advance my sweet tooth title a bit too (only 300ish points atm) :) From the look of various threads (also a fun read), the mini polar bear is an exceedingly rare drop

I too have been farming SoS for the elusive Polar Bear. So far I think I have made about 45k from only 2 stacks of CC's. I have done nowhere near 700 runs, but I have done maybe 50. I have found that if you are farming for CC shards then the other quest Straight to the Heart is better. Take a Ranger with Flury of Ice and although I have never made it to the end, I have found you come out with more shards. I netted nearly 100 shards off about 5 runs of the quest. No chance at the PB though if you don't make it through. Straight to the Heart tactics: Grab your Allies and run straight into the heart of the mob of enemies. Hit 7 (Ice Fort) and spam attack skills. When Ice Fort falls, just keep strafing (sp?) until your Allies have mopped up the rest of the mob. Rinse. Repeat. It takes a little while since you have to wait for IF to recharge, but its only 60 seconds.

Hmmm, might need to give those quests a try. I have not done a ton of farming this Wintersday season, and I would really love to net a mini polar bear - although I'd likely sell it (it would be very hard to turn down such MASSIVE cash).
