It appears that it is just two people with heros, and each with a Flamingo (8 in all). But yes, it can be a funky sight to see all those pets - especially when combined with 10 minions. I just recently got spiders for Corporal and the heros that he has so far, which seems to work with the whole reaper persona. But joining with someone else who has spiders would make it even more fun to see. :D

I could have sworn I counted 10 Flamingos. :?

Pets can be a great way to go through missions/quests. However, the nerf to the pets (making their corpses non-exploitable) reduced their usefulness - as their bodies won't help you raise minions any longer. That nerf was likely more for the BP teams running in places like the Tombs, but it made taking pets a little less optimal (especially with the skill time-out when a pet dies). That said, I think that the key professions that do well with a pet are (a) Rangers (of course) and (b) ones that don't rely as heavily on a non-Ranger secondary profession. Since one of those professions is the Paragon (they have a hard rez and tend not to need a secondary profession to be effective) using pets for your teams may work quite well. I will note however that using pets is FAR more useful in lower end areas than it is in areas where the monsters are doing massive direct or AoE damage, as they will wipe out the pets so fast that it isn't worth brining them along (this is why you won't see many pets in places like the UW). The good news is that the majority of the areas in the game are pet friendly, including: most of Tyria, early-mid Cantha and early-mid Elona. And, if you take hero/hench healers with you, they will likely be able to keep your pets alive for most battles in these areas (human healers tend to ignore pets, but hench/heros will show them some love). Lastly, since my primary character is a ranger and we are on the subject of pets, I would be neglectful if I did not mention my own most common use for my pet: helping to interrupt dazed opponents. If you have a BHA ranger or another character that can daze enemy casters, a pet will help you tremendously. In case you were not aware, when an enemy is dazed, their spells become "easily interruptable" (each time they are hit with a physical attack, any spell they are casting at the time is interrupted). By adding the attacks by a pet, you can increase the amount of potential interruptions of that spell casting enemy. This is especially useful when attacking enemy monks, as it can neutralize them VERY quickly. Add a "silencing" mod to the weapon which caused the dazed condition and you can keep even enemy bosses dazed perPETtually ;). NOTE: The dazed condition does not help you against enemies using other non-spell skills, signets, or enemies with self condition removal. Dazed is also less effective against mesmers (because of their fast casting ability, it is harder to hit them while they are in the middle of casting) or enemies that have spells with a very short cast time (1/4 sec casts are hard to interrupt, even if the enmy is dazed).
