Norn Points
Not sure where to post this really, but I'm trying to increase/maximize my Norn points.
I'm only Rank 3, which is pathetic and I doubt I could get into a Norn point hunting/Ursan PUG.
I will have my EotN NM Book done in 2 missions, so I guess I will turn that in for Norn points, but can these be turned in more than once and to more than 1 Book person (ie Asuran, Agent, Dwarf etc)?
So what are my hunting options? I looked at Wiki, but I'm not great at HM, and I don't know if that quest is repeatable after you kill the bosses etc.
I cleared Drakkar Lake in NM before something like 375ish kills, 4 bosses, got around 2,500 points, but it took like 1 1/2 - 2 hours to do, and was really boring...
Thanks!

the quest is repeatable if you abandon it before taking the reward, and then grabbing it again from the giver. It works in NM as well, just not quite as fast.

I have a couple toons with the quest active, so we can hook up and do some runs, if you want :D

Norn points are fairly easy to farm, you might want to consider saving your books for dwarf or Asuran points.

Are they only easy to farm cause of pugs, or is there an easy solo way?
If anyone wants to help me that is fine with me haha :)
Personally I think Asuran is the easiest that I've tried, I'm at rank 5 and only hunted for points twice...

If you know the route, and have good builds, norn farming is H&H able even without Ursan. If you have a second person, it is much easier though. The "trick" is two minion masters/bombers. Put Dwayna's Sorrow on someone (I prefer Bombers because of their utility).

When I did a run in Drakkar, I had a full team of H/Hs, and I was the MM.
But it's so boring and seemed like very little points for the time it took, that I questioned how I'd ever get to 160,000.
I thought there had to be an easier way cause so many people have rank 10.
how long did it take you guys to reach rank 10?

Varajar Falls is the place for Norn Point Farming. With the quests (I turned them in), you can get 6-8k points in just under an hour. There is a specific route that results in 250 kills by the time you make it to the big group of bosses (i.e. Quest). Killing a boss after 250 kills gives you 450 points in HM, with area bonuses, you can double the boss points.
Keep in mind also that many of the Dungeons give quite a few Norn points for first time completion. Many of the dungeons are easy to H&H (some are easy even in HM). If you are going for Master of the North, you might want to start with Dungeons.

I read the wiki thing, but didn't want to waste the quest not knowing what I was doing...
And like I said, I'm not great at HM, even if I take 3 monks, there must be something I miss...

In NM, it's generally easy to just out raw dps your opponents, meaning you can drop a lot of dps, and can out-heal their dps. In HM, they all hit harder, have higher AL, and overall just make trying to play the raw dps a losing proposition. So you gotta look to things which even it all up. Like hexes and degen which doesn't care what level or AL they are. Protection and stances which prevent massive amounts of damage. And then look at things they have, and use it against them. They always attack fast? SS/Empathy/Insideous Parasite/other 'on attack' hexes. They always move fast? Churning Earth.

To add to what Rod said, Echo SS works wonders in HM, along with reckless haste. Protection seems to be needed in HM as well, rather than raw healing. Minions are the easy way out, but the baddies do tend to target them first, which is why I like minion bombers (Jagged Bones, Bone Minions, Taste of Death, Death Nova and 4 skills or your choice) as the extra skills can provide utility and allow you to bring Eruption + Churning Earth (like Rod said).
When doing H&H, as a non warrior, I prefer to go Ursan so I can Tank. If I do that well, I can block most of the baddies up front, minions roll in, and the rest of the party attacks away.

At rank 3 in Ursan, it might be a bit rough for me to try to run it with H/H...
I did the quests to get the Norn Facet quest, so I have it now.

There has been a debate for turning in books vs some of these runs. So if you wanted too you could do a number of books and turn them in for Norn points.
I found the Norn runs fine. I did most of mine with PUGs occationally with Alliance out of V. Falls. I have 3 Toons with Max Norn, but it is somewhat a grind. You do get lots of good drops.
The main thing is to have someone in the party have the quest "The Path to Revelations" active. Then just abandon it and do it again. With bonus and rampage at the very end you should get 5-12k per run. Each run takes about 45 minutes.

Needles has that quest and is looking for participation. I will offer to come along, but I have to get my computer tuned up (seems to be running again), and my family has 6 baseball games each week, with a practice or two on the weekends.

My rit could use a bit more norn points if I want to get him the Norn armor. With an alliance group some of the easiest runs I ever had were 2-3 ursans, 2 bombers, + 2-3 healers + whatever else there is room for.
