Pain Inverter
I always run with an MM hero, and was wondering has anyone used Pain Inverter with an MM and did it work ok? I am about to takle this quest Warband of brothers and I am just trying to forward plan a team, it mentions using this skill with an MM, but I have never tried it or thought of it :? I have the basic heros, 2 healers, warrior, ele or ranger, olais ~~This might have been brought up before but I am a little slow on skills

Very much so. Put Pain Inverter onto an Ele (or any other AoE damage dealer) and watch the 80s fly as they damage themselves to oblivion. And if you are using a minion bomber, that will effectively drop them in one or two hits. It's tremendous fun to watch too. One other thing to perhaps consider when bringing minions is either Barbs or Mark of Pain. I prefer Barbs since it doesn't cause scatter, but either works.

Yes, PI works wonders with MMs or pet packs (more so with minions, since there are usually more of them, and you don't usually need to worry about keeping your minions alive). To add to the fun I like stacking lots of conditions and hexes as well. Minions are most effective with a foe in melee range, so adding spells on other characters in the party that slow your enemy (lots of spells fall in this category) or punish them for fleeing (such as Churning Earth) are a nice plus. Add in a BHA and now your minions are also interrupting the dazed enemy every time they hit. Since the jagged horrors already cause bleeding when they hit (thanks to Jagged Bones) and poison when they die (due to Death Nova), adding in either a melee punishing hex (like Sheep mentioned), weakness (to lower the enemy's attributes), cracked armor (to help melee attacks do more damage), or some sort of degen to stack on top of bleeding and poison (such as disease, suffering, burning, etc.) really can help keep the pressure on the enemy. Then if you want to get really nasty you can use a spell like Fevered Dreams to spread those conditions to the whole enemy party. Ahh good times I tell ya, good times.

a boss with an AoE damage skill who casts into a pack of Death Nova'd minions at his/her feet, with Pain Inverter on is a wonderful sight.
