Just wanted to share these hero builds that I have been very impressed with. Not new (came out in June) so this may be common knowledge. I've been using the 1 man/3 hero config for vanquishing and going through Sorrow's Furnace. There is also a 2 man/6 hero configuration here that people have used for DoA and dungeons among other uses.

The main limitations appear to be lack of hex removal or interrupts. Unlike the Underworld builds, the spirits should not be frontline and there is a need to flag the heros to back if there is a lot of aoe.

I've seen many different hero build setups, sabway, discord, and this spiritway all seem popular. As a monk, though, I'm often not so sure how to setup my own skills. Most of the team setups assume the player is a damage dealer, and have one of the heroes (or more) as defensive.

What do you guys think? Would it be better to try and run as a damage dealer with RoJ or something similar, or to swap some of the heroes for more damage and less defense?

When one of my monks goes H&H, it's almost always as a damage dealer, primarily RoJ with mes secondary and empathy. My primary problem with not being a damage dealer is pulling. While it is possible to pull with a hero, it's a lot easier and quicker to flag them back and do the pull yourself. If you're a primary healer, this means you need to break agro to get back to your job. If you're dealing damage anyway, you're where you need to be after the pull.

when doing H/H, your main job is to direct the aggro. This means doing the pulls, calling targets, and otherwise getting them to focus fire.

Lately, when my monk goes H/H, she takes RoJ, a few smiting spirits, a pet, and a couple pet buffs.

I only heal/prot when there are other humans along.

H/H is the perfect opportunity to get in some smiting since nobody will complain that you aren't healing. Well... at least I hope not. Very Happy
